Amazon Quick Arrives on Desktop and Mobile, Takes Aim at Microsoft Copilot and Google Gemini
Amazon's agentic AI work assistant Quick is now generally available on Windows and macOS, with its activity feed also landing on iOS and Android. The move ties desktop and mobile into one work tool as Amazon takes direct aim at Microsoft Copilot and Google Gemini.

Amazon Web Services announced on September 10, 2026, that its agentic AI work assistant, Amazon Quick, is now generally available on Windows and macOS computers. A day earlier, the company also rolled out an updated activity feed for its mobile app on iOS and Android, tying desktop and phone together into a single tool for managing email, calendars, messaging apps, and CRM systems.
What's Changing in the App
The new activity feed in the mobile app consolidates notifications and to-do items from email, calendar, messaging apps, and CRM into a single view sorted by priority. Instead of switching between apps, users can take action directly within Quick, and the system learns over time which notifications matter to them and which are just noise.
Amazon also emphasizes continuity across devices: a conversation started on desktop can be picked up on mobile, and AI agents keep working even after the desktop app is closed, preparing things like morning email summaries or weekly reports. Users can also set up their own routines, such as instructing the assistant to check every morning at 7:30 which client meetings are scheduled for the day.
Taking on Microsoft and Google
Amazon Quick grew out of the earlier Quick Suite platform, unveiled as a direct challenge to Microsoft Copilot and Google Gemini in the digital workplace. Unlike its rivals, Amazon doesn't have its own office suite on the scale of Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, so it has to persuade companies to install its overlay on top of tools they already use, rather than building the assistant directly into a word processor or spreadsheet.
That's a significant strategic difference. Microsoft has the advantage because Copilot runs natively inside Word, Excel, and Outlook, and Google integrates Gemini directly into Gmail and Google Docs. Quick instead has to function as a layer sitting on top of all these tools at once, connecting to competitors' apps including Microsoft Teams and Google Workspace, something Amazon presents as an advantage for companies running multiple ecosystems simultaneously.
Agents Instead of Chat
Amazon describes Quick as a tool that goes beyond a simple chatbot. The platform is meant to automate routine tasks, conduct research, take actions on the user's behalf, and deliver business analytics based on data scattered across company systems. AWS's announcement stated that the tool "pulls this together into one overarching view of work," letting AI agents filter and resolve routine communication before it ever reaches a human.

What This Means for Businesses
For Polish companies using AWS services, extending Quick to desktop and mobile means Amazon's agentic assistant becomes a genuine third option alongside Microsoft 365 Copilot and Google Workspace with Gemini, particularly for organizations already invested in Amazon's cloud infrastructure. Pricing in the $20-40 per user per month range puts Quick Suite in a similar bracket to enterprise competitors.
The key question remains whether businesses will want to add another layer of software to an already crowded office-tools stack, or whether they'll stick with assistants built directly into the suites they use every day. Amazon is betting that Quick's ability to pull together data from multiple systems at once, including competitors' own, will outweigh the convenience of native integration.
The mobile expansion coincides with the desktop general availability, suggesting Amazon views September 2026 as the moment Quick fully launches as a product ready for mass enterprise deployment, rather than just a test feature available to a select group of AWS customers.
