Prime Minister Donald Tusk proposed on Friday in Bengaluru that Poland and India jointly build artificial intelligence systems for industry, medicine, logistics and administration. He spoke at a Polish-Indian business forum in the city often called India's Silicon Valley.

What the Prime Minister Proposed

According to PAP reports, Tusk said AI is transforming industry, logistics, medicine, financial services and administration. He said the two sides could jointly create systems for production automation, data analysis, diagnostics and infrastructure management.

It is no longer a distant prospect, but a tool shaping the competitiveness of companies. - Donald Tusk, Prime Minister of Poland

The prime minister also spoke about solutions for small and medium-sized companies, which often lack their own research base. He called for deeper cooperation between universities and research institutes, especially in machine learning, data analysis and the safe use of AI.

He assured listeners that the Polish government is ready to support cooperation between companies. He urged: "Let's create them together and bring them to global markets together."

Space as a Reference Point

The second theme was the space sector. Tusk recalled the joint Ax-4 mission to the International Space Station in 2025, which carried Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski and Shubhanshu Shukla. In his view, if a joint flight is possible, concrete industrial projects should also be developed here on Earth.

He noted that Polish companies and research centers have experience in electronics, optics, software, scientific instruments and satellite data analysis. Poland's space sector is developing partly thanks to its membership in the European Space Agency.

Declarations, No Named Deals

The PAP text published by Bankier.pl does not name any specific agreements or companies in the area of AI. Among related materials on Bankier.pl, there is only a headline, "Scanway joins forces with a space giant from India," which concerns the space sector, with no details in that text.

What It Means for Business

For now, this is a political announcement, not a program with a budget or deadlines. For Polish tech companies, the signal is that the government wants to open doors to the Indian market and offers support for joint projects, including for small and medium-sized enterprises. The coming months will show whether concrete contracts follow the declarations.
