Grupa Pracuj, the owner of Poland's largest job listings site Pracuj.pl and the Ukrainian platform Robota.ua, has published its financial results for the second quarter of 2026. The company's net profit rose 20 percent year over year, and management directly points to artificial intelligence deployments as one of the main reasons for the improved profitability.
This marks another consecutive quarter in which the company has posted double-digit growth in operating profit, even as revenue grows more slowly than profitability. According to management, the gap between revenue growth and EBITDA growth stems precisely from the automation of internal processes and better matching of job listings to candidates through AI-based tools.
What the numbers show
On a cumulative basis for the first half of 2026, Grupa Pracuj generated PLN 425.5 million in revenue, up 4 percent from a year earlier. Adjusted EBITDA for the six months came to PLN 200.7 million, up 6 percent, while net profit reached PLN 130.8 million, up 7 percent year over year.
The Polish segment remains the group's main engine, but transaction volume growth has slowed compared with earlier periods, and the improvement in results is being driven primarily by higher profitability per recruitment service. Management attributes this to better matching of listings to candidates and to lower operating costs from automating processes that previously required work from sales and customer service teams.
The role of artificial intelligence
Grupa Pracuj CEO Przemysław Gacek stresses that AI investments have stopped being merely a long-term strategic element and have begun to translate into the company's actual financial results. According to the company, algorithms that match job listings to candidate profiles are increasing recruitment effectiveness, which directly affects revenue from paid services.

Beyond matching listings, AI also supports the company's internal processes, including analytics and customer service, which management links directly to the cost discipline visible in the second-quarter results.
Ukraine as a growth engine
The group's fastest-growing segment remains the Ukrainian market, served by the Robota.ua platform. Despite a 2 percent year-over-year drop in the number of recruitment projects and an 8 percent drop in paid projects, revenue from this segment rose 19 percent, while EBITDA jumped 50 percent. The key factor was a 45 percent year-over-year increase in project prices in hryvnia, meaning companies in Ukraine are paying more per listing even as they post fewer of them.

This picture suggests that companies operating in Ukraine, despite the ongoing war, are willing to pay more to reach a smaller pool of available candidates more effectively, a result partly driven by labor shortages caused by mobilization and migration.
Implications for Poland's labor market
Grupa Pracuj's results offer a concrete, measurable example of how AI deployments translate into the financial performance of a major Polish technology company, rather than remaining just a strategic declaration. That matters in the broader debate over whether corporate investment in artificial intelligence is actually paying off in higher profits, rather than merely promising future efficiency.
For employers using Pracuj.pl, this means that candidate-matching algorithms will play an increasingly important role in how their job listings reach potential employees. For candidates, it means the application process is increasingly filtered through AI-based systems before ever reaching a recruiter.
